A MAN is in 'life-threatening' condition after being hit by a Porsche car.
The 41-year-old was struck by the plush car at around 5.35pm on Thursday evening in the Forrest Street area of Airdrie.
He was taken to Monklands Hospital before being transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The driver did stop, but did not speak to officers at the scene, so cops are now keen to track the driver down.
The Porsche is described as dark-coloured with a soft top.
Sergeant Craig McDonald, of Motherwell Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash. We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of the car involved, who did stop at the scene, but has not yet spoken to officers.
“I am asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or was in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch.
“I would also ask if there are any other motorists with possible dashcam footage or anyone with information that may help with our investigation to contact police.”
Police can be contacted on 101, quoting incident number 2737 of February 10.
