A GLASGOW bus tour is on the lookout for 'pure dead brilliant' new drivers.
City Sightseeing Glasgow are recruiting for part and full-time staff ahead of what they hope to be their busiest season since before the pandemic.
In preparation for spring and summer, the team have replaced their criteria for a driver with some more humourous requirements.
They are now looking for pure, dead brilliant bus drivers with big cheery smiles who would enjoy driving a 'belter' of a big red open top bus.
Applicants should also know the difference between a Glasgow kiss and a winch, and know their lumber from their tinder.
James Gallagher, City Sightseeing Glasgow supervisor, spoke of the importance of having fun on the tours and embracing Glasgow humour.
He said: “It’s been a tough couple of years, so we decided to throw caution to the wind and have a bit of fun with the team when creating our recruitment campaign.
“Our City Sightseeing Glasgow drivers are professional and friendly and alongside our guides are ambassadors for our great city, it’s our job to know what’s happening in the city and to show people Glasgow.
"It’s not just driving a bus it’s about making visitors time in Glasgow a good one, that not only includes serving our main attractions but having a good knowledge of the city and our sense of culture and humour.”
Lead driver Colin MacKay told of his love for the city and the job.
He said: “We don’t have a castle like our friends in the east, but that’s fine. We have amazing history, architecture, a great music scene and let’s not forgot our people, they do an amazing job of showing visitors from near and far that Glasgow is smiles better than all other cities.
“The open top tour bus isn’t your standard bus service, it’s a happy place with people on their holidays and not rushing to work. It’s good craic and I would thoroughly recommend it.
“Every day is a school day from learning new and interesting facts about Glasgow to hearing lots of interesting details of our customers’ countries and culture”.
