AN area near a shopping centre in Cumbernauld remains closed off by police investigating a report of an injured man.
Around 14 officers were called to Larch Road near Abronhill shopping centre yesterday afternoon.
Now more than 16 hours later, police remain at the scene after first arriving at 4.45pm.
Today officers stood guard at the popular shopping centre following the incident.
Police tape remained in place as the force continued their investigation.
Numerous delivery trucks and cars attempted to drive up the road towards the shopping centre, but were turned away by police as the whole area of the shopping centre remains closed.
Huge stretches of police tape cordoned off the surrounding area, with the entire park area behind Larch Road off limits.
It comes after the community took to social media to express their concern over the incident.
