ACTOR James McAvoy has revealed on social media that he is a victim of identity theft.
The Drumchapel star shared a picture on his Instagram story of a passport featuring his name, photograph and date of birth.
He wrote alongside it: "Someone pretending to be me using this fake passport as proof.
"NOT ME."
The 42-year-old did not reveal any further information about how he came to discover a person has been impersonating him or where the picture of the passport came from.
James will return home to Glasgow next month when he stars as Cyrano in the Jamie Lloyd Company’s production of Cyrano de Bergerac at the Theatre Royal from March 18 to 26.
