AN artist who makes pieces with gunpowder has scored access to a prestigious organisation.
Dennistoun based Frank To's unique pieces have seen him admitted to the Royal Society of Artists' annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London after gaining recognition for his 'innovative' technique.
Frank has gained international recognition for his art and names Hollywood stars such as Sir Patrick Stewart among his collectors.

Frank said: “For me, being accepted by both the Royal Society of British Artists and Masterpiece is a celebration of my efforts during the two lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"During those uncertain times, I dedicated a majority of my time to developing my drawing skills. I’ve mastered my craft and I think that the work that will be exhibited in London will show certain artistic and personal sides to me never shown before.
The Royal Society of British Artists celebrates the highest standards of skill in the community and holds a regular open exhibition which artists can submit work to.
Frank's gunpowder artwork will go on show from March 3 until March 12 at the Mall Galleries.
He added: “I am pleased to have the London art scene wanting to exhibit my work, especially the recent pieces that show me pushing my limits further. I hope that my recent successes inspire other Scottish contemporary artists to showcase in London.
Fans will also have the opportunity to buy Frank's work at the Affordable Art Fair, also in London at Battersea Park.
Frank studied at Duncan of Jordonstone School of Art in Dundee and has exhibited next to big names such as Banksy, Jimmy Choo and Anthony Gormley.
