Taking over the former home of Nicks in Hyndland, co-owners Paul and Chris Charalambous have teamed up with itison founder Ollie Norman to bring a unique dining experience to Glasgow’s West End.
The Cultar group have invested £250,000 into the new venture which will have space to seat 80 diners in its restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace.
The menu for Shucks is the work of talented head chef Shaun Haggerty who aims to showcase the very best of locally sourced seafood.
Using traditional techniques from in-house curing to wood-fired grilling, the kitchen team say that their dishes are designed to ‘let the produce do the talking’.

Putting just as much effort into a bespoke drinks menu, Shucks will have a carefully curated selection available in its cocktail and wine bar.
Adding a touch of fun and theatre to proceedings will be a ‘champagne and cocktail trolley’ to be brought to customers' tables as they dine.
All of the tipples will be handpicked by Cail Bruich’s Head Sommelier who has brought together the very best for classics like their signature negroni which will also be served tableside.
Co-owner Chris Charalambous said: “Shucks has been a long time in the making & we are delighted to finally be able to announce it to the Hyndland community.
“We hope that Shucks will bring a unique dining experience to the area which will add to the already burgeoning hospitality scene that the west end has to offer.
“We are also proud in the fact we have created 30 sustainable jobs in the area & we will continue to invest in our people & the product to deliver first-class hospitality experiences."
We can't wait to see what the Michelin standard team have in store.
