CAMPAIGNERS gathered at a busy junction today to call for an improvement in working conditions within the NHS.
NHS Workers United for Scotland unfurled a banner at the Charing Cross foot bridge, that called for the first minister Nicola Sturgeon to "hear our pleas".
And passing motorists tooted their horns in support.

The group was set up in 2020 as a grassroots movement for NHS workers across Scotland to fight for fair pay and conditions for workers.
Brenda Eadie, a charge nurse from Glasgow said: "It's important that we save the NHS. The likes of myself, even as an NHS worker, I'm relying on it just now. I caught this caring for people and there are thousands of people like me in the NHS."
