THE search for a missing East Renfrewshire man has intensified as he remains missing for eight days.
Busby man Charles McCallum, 64, was last seen at his home in Cartside Road on February 20.
Now officers are stepping up searches and have spoken to 40 locals to assist with their investigation.
Charles is described as 5ft 11in, of medium build, with receding white/grey hair.
When last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey woolly jumper, dark coloured jacket and black shoes with a velcro fastening.
Chief Inspector Alan Gray said: “It has now been a week since Charles was last seen and we have been carrying out extensive enquiries to trace him, with the assistance of the public.
“On Sunday, officers engaged with over 40 individuals and families in the local area, and we continue to appeal to anyone who believes they can assist our investigation to please come forward.
“If you have any information or any possible sightings of Charles, please call 101, quoting incident 2961 of February 20, 2022.”
