A DEVOTED and popular Asda worker is celebrating 40 years of service.
Janette Walker joined the Blantyre store at the age of 17 and has built friendships with colleagues and customers alike over the years.
Her team presented her with a bouquet of flowers to thank her for her dedicated work and recognise her as a valued member of the Asda team.
Janette said: "I love working at Asda and being a part of such a great team. After 40 years my colleagues have become like family.
"I have met lifelong friends including my best friend, Helen. My favourite part of this job has to be the team and getting the opportunity to meet so many different people.”
Amie MacLean, Asda Blantyre Store Manager is very proud of Janette:
She said: “Janette is a huge part, not only of our front-end colleague team, but the Blantyre community. She is a reliable and committed colleague who is always happy to help, and a true friend to many in the store.
"We are very proud of Janette and her fantastic length of service. We look forward to her being part of the Asda Blantyre team for many more years!"
