A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after an attempted murder in a Lanarkshire town.
The 38-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after the attack which happened around 3.20pm on Sunday, February 27.
He has since been transferred to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is described as stable.
The incident happened on Dormiston Road, Kirkmuirhill.
Another man, 40, was also injured but he did not require medical attention.
A 40-year-old man was also injured in the incident but has not required medical attention.
Police have launched an investigation and are asking anyone with information or footage of the attact to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Frank Donaghy of Lanarkshire CID said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who was in the area or who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage of the incident.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2283 of 27 February, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
