Verdict: Three and a half stars

THE FINALE of The Wanted's long-awaited comeback tour was dedicated to Tom Parker while he continues his battle with cancer.

The boyband graced the Glasgow Hydro stage as a four-piece last night almost eight years to the day they said farewell to their Scottish fans at the same venue.

An emotional Max George, 33, paid tribute to his absent friend - who had earlier confirmed that he was unable to play the show due to treatment - by saying, "A big shout out to our boy Tom," before the group stormed their way through Glad You Came.

Earlier in the evening, it was the hit that first propelled them into the spotlight in 2010, All Time Low that kicked off the reunion and reminded fans of The Wanted's infectious dance-pop which helped them dominate the charts.

Grinning from ear to ear Max, joined by Siva Kaneswaren, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes, beamed: "It's been eight long years. I've only got this to say. We are The Wanted and we are back baby."

And they proved just that by singing the best of their back catalogue including Lightening, Lose My Mind, I Found You and Heart Vacancy.

With such strong hits, it's hard to fathom why the band called it quits in the first place. Their success was in its infancy and judging by the fan hysteria more material from the boys would have surely been more than welcomed.

Warzone proved to be a moment showing off the band's vocals beautifully while the 'Marmite' track Walks Like Rihanna sent the crowd wild.

Chasing the Sun and We Own The Night followed before a humble Jay said: "Thank you for choosing us as your boyband we appreciate that." Siva then teased: "We can do this again some time."

And while the appetite is strong for the reunion, time will only tell whether new material can help The Wanted achieve the success they did the first time around.
