A POPULAR food festival is coming to Glasgow this weekend.

The annual Glasgow Vegan Festival will take over Hampden Park on March 12 with over 100 stalls showcasing vegan food and lifestyle.

Festival organiser, Victoria Bryceson said: “I’m really looking forward to the Glasgow Vegan Festival which is set to be even bigger and better than last year’s.

"We received so much positive feedback last year and there’s now so much demand that this festival is becoming a sell-out event. I think it’s partly because people really love the friendly atmosphere."

Victoria emphasises that while being a festival advocating vegan goods, the event really is for everyone to enjoy.

She added: "The wonderful thing about the event is that it’s for everyone whatever your lifestyle. Just come along and bring your friends for a great, fun day-out.

"You’ll have everything you need there, whether you’re looking for some retail therapy, some ‘me’ time, precious family time or just a lovely meal out with some friends.”

Guests can enjoy a selection of treats from Glasgow businesses, including vegan cakes from Mama’s Wee Bakery and Sweet Wednesday, goodies from Mayze and even a tipple from Ellis Scottish Gin.

Apart from food and drink, vegan beauty stalls will feature at the festival, including Glasgow's own Salon Zero and Hamilton's Hope CBD, which will be offering organic, lab-tested, cannabidiol (CBD) products.

Glasgow-based clothing brand Humane Human will operate a clothing staff, as well as Vegan Slogans and Viva La Vegan incorporating Eden Perfumes.

Other Glasgow-based stallholders include zero waste skincare from Soapetc and Temple De Luna, who will be selling their handmade products made from natural ingredients.

The Glasgow Vegan Festival will be held on Saturday, March 12 from 10.30am to 4.30pm at Hampden Park, Glasgow, G42 9BA.

Admission costs £5, while under 16’s go free.

VIP tickets, which includes a fast track entry and a goody bag full of vegan products, samples, discounts and offers can be purchased on Eventbrite for £15.
