A man was raced to hospital yesterday evening after being struck by a car in Glasgow's East End.
The crash, which involved a car with multiple occupants, took place at around 6:35 pm in the Gartloch Road area.
The 66-year-old pedestrian was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for 'serious, but not life-threatening' injuries.
There were no other injuries reported from the incident.
The road remained locked down by police officers for more than two hours on Wednesday, March 9.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.35pm on Wednesday, March 9, police were called to the Gartloch Road area of Glasgow, following a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 66-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. "
"The occupants of the car were uninjured.
"The road was closed until around 8.45pm.”
