A POPULAR vegan cafe in Glasgow city centre has launched an initiative to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees - serving a full menu of Ukrainian national dishes.
The Glasvegan, in St Enoch Square, is serving delicacies from the Ukrainian cuisine today, March 14, with all proceeds going to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
The cafe had announced the fundraiser on Facebook last week and released the special menu packed full of traditional dishes, all revisited in a vegan key.

Laura Yapp, from The Glasvegan, said they wanted to bring a little bit of Ukraine to Glasgow.
She said: "The Ukraine conflict is obviously on everyone's mind right now and we wanted to do our bit as a business to help as much as we can.
"We’re trying to raise as much money as possible by serving fully vegan versions of Ukraine national dishes instead of our regular menu.
"Many people don’t know a lot about Ukraine as a country, so we wanted to showcase all its amazing dishes so people can experience Ukrainian culture."
The Ukrainian menu is available for today only and will replace The Glasvegan's usual menu.
