COPS have cordoned off Glasgow Central Station this morning, amid reports of "blood being mopped off the floor".

The British Transport Police has confirmed officers were called to the station around 4.45am following reports of a serious assault.

An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times they had seen officers "mopping blood off the floor".

Social media reports told of "a lady, appears to be station staff wiping with a biohazard suit, plus the biohazard bucket next to her had some visibly red-stained wipes."
