A VEHICLE has struck a railway bridge near Glasgow, causing delays to trains leaving the city.
Scotrail is warning passengers through its Twitter account of the incident, occurred between Bowling and Dumbarton East.
As a result, trains through these stations have been halted until all checks on the bridge have been carried out.
A response team is currently en-route to examine the bridge.
The tweet read: "A road vehicle has struck a bridge between Bowling and Dumbarton East.
"Our response team are en-route to examine, we are unable to run trains through these stations until all checks have been carried out."

The Scotrail website is reporting disruption to trains from Glasgow Queen Street to Oban.
Train services between Balloch and Airdrie are also being delayed or revised.
Disruption is expected to last until around 3pm today.
Earlier today, we reported of a signalling fault between Barrhead and Kilmarnock affecting services to and from the city, but this has now been cleared.
