The 31-year-old said: "I suddenly jumped up and went straight to the bike rack only to find out that the bike has gone missing.
"I immediately called the police and they took all my details.
"It is a massive loss because I bought it with the help of a loan from an energy-saving trust, so now I am left with the loan, which I will have to pay for the next four years.
"It's shocking because I bought it for commuting purposes and now I will have to find an alternate."
Mr Nair has posted images in a Facebook community group to try and find answers, as the police continue their investigation.
The bike is a grey Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance 500 electric bike, which he only received two months ago.
Police Scotland has confirmed that an investigation os underway.
A spokesperson said: “Around 11.30am on Thursday, 17 March, officers received a report that a bike had been stolen from Kelvin Campus, Glasgow.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
