A NEW motorcycle shop will open in Glasgow, creating 16 new jobs.
West Coast Triumph applied to Glasgow City Council, asking for permission to transform the empty building in Hillington into a showroom.
Planning bosses approved the proposals.
The site at 434 Hillington Road was formerly Tile Superstore.
The applicant already operates the West Coast Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership at Mossland Drive in Hillington Park.
But the new unit will be used to establish a separate motorcycle dealership specialising in the sale and maintenance of Triumph motorcycles.
This will initially result in the creation of around 13 new jobs and three additional jobs at the Mossland Drive headquarters.
As the new business becomes established it is proposed that further job opportunities will be created.
