THE site of a former pub could be transformed into several new retail units.
KG Property Glasgow Ltd has put forward plans to build six new shops at a vacant brownfield site on the corner of Royston Road and Provanmill Road, in the city's East End.
They will be of mixed size with parking and servicing to the rear.
A statement in the planning documents reads: "The shop signage will match the height of the existing shops on Royston Road, maintaining continuity and giving a clean line to the property as it returns along Provanmill Road.
"Access can only be off Provanmill Road and this is the logical place to gain access and servicing, to the rear of the site.
"Plans show the swept path of a large fire engine vehicle proving there is space enough for access."
Glasgow City Council will accept or reject the plans by May 16.
