With the Easter Holidays on the horizon, the National Trust for Scotland is on hand to make sure you and the kids have a cracking time at activities near Glasgow.
Trying to keep your little ones entertained can be eggs-hausting (sorry) at the best of times which is why we’re sharing a little inspiration to help keep them occupied over the break.
Here are some of the spring activities that you and the family can get up to including everything from Easter egg hunts to fun family-friendly crafts.

Here’s a selection of the National Trust’s Easter activities that the whole family can try near Glasgow.
Easter egg hunts
- Pollok House: There is an Easter Trail running from Good Friday to Easter Monday with a weekend packed full of Easter crafting activities as well as a Springtime trail
- Holmwood House: Let their imaginations run wild during the garden trail or as they craft in the Imagination Gallery. Easter tickets cost an additional £2 per child on top of general admission
- Weaver's Cottage: Not only is there are butterfly trail but your kids can solve clues and enjoy chocolate treats as part of your general admission ticket

National Trust Easter Walks
- Greenbank Garden: Clarkston plays host to a stunning walled garden which is described as a Southside "urban oasis" that will be chock full of daffodils and bluebells throughout the Spring. A family ticket will cost you £20.50 via the National Trust website
- Geilston Garden: Wander around the breathtaking 200-year-old garden on the banks of the River Clyde which even includes a play area for younger children. Family tickets start at £19.50 via the National Trust website

If the weather is less than egg-cellent this Easter, there’s still fun to be had with the National Trust’s craft tutorials.

How to buy a National Trust membership
Members of the National Trust can enjoy benefits such as free entry to more than 50 places, free parking at most of its sites and receive the National Trust magazine three times a year plus more.
There’s a variety of memberships available such as Joint, Family, Individual, Senior, Junior and Life membership.
