THE deadline for an annual Glasgow Times’ competition has been extended due to popular demand.
Entries for Times Tots opened to the public last month. The competition looks to celebrate the city’s cutest and most charismatic children who will be vying up the chance to be crowned our champion.
The top prize is £1,000 with a second-place winner receiving £350. Meanwhile, third place will be awarded £150.
Stacey Mullen, assistant editor, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the entries so far which proves just how popular our Times Tots competition is.
“We want to give people some more time to send their photos in, so we have extended the deadline until April 24.
“Good luck to everyone who is entering.”
The Glasgow Times will run all entrants in the newspaper when we open up Times Tots to the public vote.
We will then have a top 300, 100, and 20 before announcing our winner.
You must send your entries in before midnight on Sunday, April 24.
We are asking you to submit your own photo, but we have some rules.
The photo you submit must feature the child alone. The image must show the child clearly, it has to be forward-facing and have no watermarks.
Poor quality photos will be disqualified from the competition and due to the high level of entries, we will not contact you to ask for a better photo.
You can however submit as many photos as you like within your entry.
In your entry, please also tell us your child’s name, age (Entrants must be under five years of age until the end of the contest and proof of age may be required such as a birth certificate), and where they are from.
It is important that full parent or guardian consent is sought for anyone entering the competition.
The proud mum of last year’s winner previously encouraged parents to enter.
Lucas Deans, from Glasgow, was two years old when he was crowned top of the tots, receiving a £1000 cash prize.
Mum Danielle Alexander said: “I would encourage people to enter the competition this year, you’ve not got anything to lose.
“When we were going to buy the papers to vote for Lucas, we would meet lots of other people doing the same. It does get competitive but it’s definitely worth it.”
