A CITY developer is set to bring 100 new homes to a former B-Listed mill in the Gorbals.
Planning permission has been lodged with Glasgow City Council for two new apartment blocks at the Twomax Mill on Old Rutherglen Road and a class one retail unit which will see shops built on the Commercial Street side.
The site has been bought by Westpoint Homes who hope to transform the building into loft-style flats that will give "spectacular" views across the city centre and Glasgow Green.
Permission had previously been lodged with city planning chiefs with conditions. The latest update will see the plans increase the number of properties from 92 to 100.

Design statements for the development state that properties will be fully accessible and residents will be able to make full use of the courtyard area, which will be upgraded.
There will also be secure cycle storage and each ground floor flat will have a three-metre terrace with a privacy wall.
Residents will also be able to make use of an outdoor "working from home" space which will be undercover from the rain.
The former Twomax Mill has been at the site on Old Rutherglen Road for almost 200 years. They produced textiles for around 60 years.
Glasgow City Council's Social Work department now uses the offices.
The site was marketed by property auctioneers, Savills.
Emma Biggin of Savills Development Team said: “The southern side of the River Clyde has experienced significant regeneration in recent years, with the ongoing residential developments at nearby Laurieston, Tradeston and Cathcart Road bringing budding new communities to the outskirts of the city.
"Westpoint’s new development will essentially become part of this exciting new enclave in Scotland's largest city.”
