JAGS fans are showing true team spirit with a new collective movement to tackle social justice issues in the local community.
Partick Thistle supporters launched Jags For Good to mobilise the fan base to help people living in Maryhill and across Glasgow.
In the first few hours of a fundraising appeal being launched, the scheme had raised more than £2700, boosted by a donation of £1000 from club sponsors Just Employment Law.
Neil Cowan, one of the fans involved in launching the group, said: "Thistle is a club that’s rooted in the local community.

"But we know that there’s lots of people across Maryhill and the rest of the city who are really struggling to get by at the moment, and that there was an opportunity for us to mobilise Thistle fans in solidarity and support."
Jags For Good have united around the belief that – particularly at a time of growing hardship across the city – the Firhill faithful can be a force for good.
As well as a food collection at Saturday’s forthcoming game against Dunfermline Athletic for Glasgow North West Foodbank, an online fundraising page has also been launched.

Neil added: "We’ve been blown away by the incredible response so far from Jags fans.
"People seem to really see the need for this type of initiative and to share our belief in the power of football to be a force for good.
"The amazing response is also yet more proof that although Thistle might not always be the most successful team in the city, there really is only one team in Glasgow."
