HOLLYWOOD star James McAvoy has been pictured at last night's glitzy Met Gala.
The biggest night in fashion is best known for its eye-catching themes, which determine the dress code for those attending.
This year's "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" looks at the historical fashion in the Met's American Wing.
James McAvoy, who was born in Glasgow's Drumchapel, posed for photos on the red carpet alongside his wife Lisa Liberati.
The actor is currently starring in Cyrano de Bergerac in Brooklyn, New York.
The Olivier Award-winning production previously ran in the actor's hometown at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow in March.
Only three cities are hosting the production, which has been adapted by Martin Shrimp and is directed by Jamie Lloyd.
We previously reported that McAvoy visited a popular Glasgow city centre restaurant before his first Glasgow show.

The star visited Ristorante Pieno on Hope Street, and the eatery shared a picture of him, saying: "We had the incredible James McAvoy in for lunch today!
"Good luck with your first show 'Cyrano de Bergerac' at The Theatre Royal."
Meanwhile, the Glasgow Times attended the show and reviewed it for our readers.
