AN INVESTIGATION is ongoing after a man was assaulted on Sunday night.
The 35-year-old was taken to hospital following the incident on Smithycroft Road in Riddrie, Glasgow.
Police taped a section of the street off at around 10pm to carry out enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.50pm on Sunday, May 1, 2022, officers were called to a report of a 35-year-old man having been assaulted in Smithycroft Road, Glasgow.
"He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
