A MUM punched a woman on the head before dragging her to the ground and hitting her head off the floor during an attack in a McDonald’s restaurant.
Justine Elliot was in the Kirkintilloch store at 3am on July 28, 2019, when she began to argue with staff and other customers about food.
Two women were also in the restaurant following a night out and one became involved in an argument with Elliot.
The 30-year-old assaulted the woman by punching her head, grabbing her hair, dragging her to the ground, striking her head against the ground, and repeatedly punching her head whilst she was lying on the ground.
Elliot was removed from the woman and thereafter assaulted the other woman by punching her on the head, seizing her by her hair, and pulling her to the ground.
She appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week for sentencing after previously pleading guilty to the assaults.
The court heard she left McDonald’s and police were called.
After being cautioned and charged, she replied: “I don’t remember anything."
Elliot’s defence solicitor said: “That remains her position. She has no recollection of events. I viewed the CCTV footage.

“She enters with someone else. She is at the counter, but she turns around after her attention was drawn to something behind her. She thinks there may have been some words exchanged with the complainer prior to this, and she acts as liable.
“She was very upset when I told her what was on the CCTV. She was mortified and very distressed.
"She is in employment. The offence is almost three years old. She has nothing outstanding and has one analogous previous conviction.”
Sheriff Diana McConnell ordered Elliot to be under social work supervision for one year and carry out 180 hours of unpaid work.
The sheriff told her: “This offence meets the custody threshold, however, I have to consider alternatives.
“Frankly, this was an appalling way to behave. A 30-year-old mother conducting herself in this manner and attacking two women.
"You were so drunk you couldn’t remember anything about it, but I’m told you recognise your wrongdoing.”
