A CYCLIST has appealed for the safe return of his missing bike as footage emerged of a man in a wheelchair wheeling one away.
Kenneth Murray took to Twitter to ask people in Coatbridge to keep an eye out for his brand new bike.
The bike was last seen outside an MMA gym on Whifflet Street in the town on Tuesday evening.
When Kenneth came out of the gym, the bike had vanished.
Kenneth said it was the first bicycle he had ever owned, only ever having had turns on friends' bikes as a child, and it was "important" to him.
The 29-year-old told the Glasgow Times that after his appeal for witnesses he had been sent the footage from locals who saw the bike being moved near the location it went missing.
Been sent this video a few times with a guy in a wheelchair with my bike in Dundyvan/Langloan area of Coatbridge.

Kenneth wrote online: "Had never owned a bike before. It was quite important to me.
"Would love it if someone could reunite me with it."
