A WOMAN has tragically died after police were called to a report of a concern for a person in Barrhead.
Officers attended at Carlibar Road in the early hours of this morning.
A 57-year-old woman, from Barrhead, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact 101.
A force spokesperson said: "We received a call at around 00.35am on Thursday, June 2, regarding concern for a person in Carlibar Road, Barrhead.
"Officers attended and a 57-year-old woman from the Barrhead area was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious but, as with all sudden deaths, a report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
"Anyone who has information can call the police via 101, quoting incident number 0001 of June 2."
