PLANS to repair a fire-hit building in Glasgow's Southside have been submitted to the council.
A tenement flat at McCulloch Street, Pollokshields, went up in flames on June 1 last year, resulting in one person losing their life.
Around 15 families had to be evacuated from their homes as the blaze ripped through the building, resulting in the roof falling through.
Several families were put into temporary accommodation due to a number of the Southside Housing Association flats being so badly damaged and unliveable.
The properties have lain empty for a year.
But the housing association has this week submitted their plans outlining the repair work they hope to carry out on the building.
Work includes repairs to chimney render, new internal wall insulation, window replacements to match the existing, renewal of rainwater pipes, and a full roof replacement.
They say additional reconstruction works to increase the thermal efficiency and fire safety through the installation of external insulation will also be carried out.
Plans show floors of some rooms are missing due to the fire damage.
Glasgow City Council will accept or reject the plans by July 5.
