THE body of a man was found near a footpath in Bishopbriggs.
Police have sealed off the scene of the incident and remain at the scene following the discovery shortly after midnight.
The force said calls were received around 12.20am about an unresponsive man on a footpath at the junction of Auchinairn Road and Woodhill Road.
Paramedics attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained and police reamin on the scene carrying out enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.20am on Monday, June 13, 2022, police received a report of an unresponsive male on a footpath near Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs.
"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"Officers remain at the scene whilst enquiries are ongoing.
"The road is currently closed.”
