A FOOTBALL team which has recently been taken over by the host of a popular football podcast has announced a new partnership.
Open Goal Broomhill FC revealed their new venture with Glasgow-based packaging supplier, The UPAC Group today.
It is the company’s first venture into the world of sports and entertainment.
UPAC branding will be introduced at all Open Goal Broomhill FC home fixtures.
Michael Pentland, Open Goal’s marketing manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce this new partnership as one of the first official partners of Open Goal Broomhill FC.
“UPAC, like us is an ambitious, innovative, and creative team who have grown to become Scotland’s preeminent packaging supplier of choice.
“As our first team manager Simon Ferry continues to build his playing squad with hard-working players, we also are looking to build and further grow mutually beneficial relationships with brands nationally.”

We previously reported that the football team made Broadwood Stadium its new home after North Lanarkshire Council agreed on a one-year rolling lease.
Melissa Cairney, marketing manager of The UPAC Group, said: “Open Goal is a unique and courageous Scottish football success story and we have followed the growth of the brand closely, from Si Ferry’s first podcast interviews to selling out the Hydro on two occasions last year.
“As a business, we share the same vibrancy and desire to innovate that the trailblazers at Open Goal have, and that is why we are confident that together, we will create radical and exciting new opportunities for not only ourselves but the wider community.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be part of Open Goal's most recent project and looking forward to working with the team on a successful partnership over the course of the upcoming season.”
