As TRNSMT fast approaches, first-time festival-goers might be excited ( if not a little nervous) about heading to Glasgow Green. 

The popular summer festival is returning to its July slot after last year's event was pushed back to September.

The festival, which is held from July 8-10, will feature some of the biggest names in music including Paolo Nutini, Sam Fender, Sigrid, Lewis Capaldi and more. 

Ahead of this year's Cinch presents TRNSMT, the organisers have shared some tips for first-timers about what to do before, during and as the festival comes to a close.

Before you arrive at TRNSMT 2022

Tickets

Download your E-Ticket ( or mobile ticket) from the Ticketmaster app in advance since the signal is not always reliable at the festival gates.

ID

If you’re under 25 or lucky enough to look it, you should bring photographic ID - photocopies will not be accepted).

You’ll need this to buy alcohol from our bars and may be asked for proof of age when you arrive at the gates.

The cinch presents TRNSMT app

Know the festival site inside out with the the  cinch presents TRNSMT app.

It includes all of the stage times, maps and details of the full line up.

Bank card

The festival is cashless meaning that bars and food stalls will only accept the following:

  • Contactless and chip and pin bank cards
  • ApplePay
  • GoHenry
  • GooglePay

What to know during TRNSMT 2022

The festival organisers have advised that you do the following as soon as you can when arriving on site:

  • Arrange a meet-up point or designated place so that you can always find the people you arrived with
  • Share your location with them on your phone so you always know where they are
  • Familiarise yourself with the welfare areas and the help points are
  • Know what to expect at the front of the crowd

TRNMST also suggests you locate the phone charging stations and food stalls so that you can conveniently refuel your device and yourself with ease

What to remember as TRNSMT 2022 ends

The festival has also asked that you do a couple of things as the event wraps up for the evening and at the end of the weekend:

  • Leave quietly and respectfully of the festival's neighbours
  • Use the toilets stationed just outside the side and not anywhere else
  • Look after your friends and make sure everyone gets home safe.
