A trio of staff working at a popular leisure facility near Glasgow have received an honour from the Queen.
The Xsite Braehead Team, including operations manager Stephen Stronach, duty manager Peter Stronach and security officer Paul McGowan, were recently presented with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of their first responding services.
The three men have an impressive 38 years of service between them and have worked at XSite Braehead for five years.

They were trained by the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service to deal with certain emergencies and provide help, and reassurance until 999 services arrive.
Rosalind Gibson, marketing manager at XSite Braehead, said: “Our trusted team of first responders provide an invaluable service to both customers and staff at XSite Braehead.
“Their life-saving skills mean they are well equipped to provide assistance and appropriate care in the first few vital moments of a potential emergency situation.
“XSite Braehead is a much safer place thanks to them, and we are delighted to see them being awarded with a Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty should our customers and colleagues require their assistance.”
