GUESTS staying in a Glasgow hotel have been allowed back inside following an emergency evacuation.
A member of staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central on confirmed all customers and staff are safe and well.
The employee also confirmed the emergency response was "precautionary".
No further information could be provided.
It is believed there was a smell of gas, which was investigated.
The Glasgow Times provided live updates from the scene.
We previously reported police, ambulance and fire crews were called at 2.42pm.
The road at the hotel was closed in both directions between Cowcaddens Road and Renfrew Street, but has since reopened.
Specialist incident response units were also called to the scene.
