A WOMAN who became unwell in a Glasgow street tragically died after being taken to hospital.
The 60-year-old passed away in the Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Friday.
We previously reported that Bisland Drive, in Maryhill, had been locked down and that a woman had been rushed to hospital.
Police have since revealed she died a short time later. Officers are treating the woman's death as unexplained, but say there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 9am.
A section of the road was closed to traffic as officers guarded the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.10am on Friday, July 1, 2022, officers were called to a report of a 60-year-old woman having become unwell in Bilsland Drive, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and she was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where she died a short time later.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, however, there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage.
“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
