Phoebe Sykes, president of the dance group, told the Glasgow Times: “I've really enjoyed taking part in our summer fundraiser this year - and previously as it's always a good challenge and I have so much fun in the process.”
The 20-year-old from West Yorkshire added: “I also think it's incredibly important to raise money for charity, especially after the difficult couple of years everyone has had through the pandemic.”
Vice-president Kerry Duggan, 21, from Clarkston, said: “Last year the society raised over £600 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and we hope that we can also reach our target for another deserving cause - Blood Cancer UK.
“These fundraisers are always a great way to keep our members connected despite being in different countries.
“We’ve had so much fun swapping our dance shoes for running shoes this summer.”
Media convenor Ailish McGregor, 19, from Inverness, noted: “Fundraising for Blood Cancer UK this summer has been really rewarding as it both feels like we are making an impact and getting closer as a team.”
