POLICE responded to calls for concern for a person in Paisley this morning.
Locals reported seeing a large police presence in the town, including a helicopter and search dogs.
Officers were called to Canal Street, and to Paisley Canal station, at 10.30am.

The person was traced safely and passed into the care of medical staff.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of concern for a person in the Canal Street area of Paisley shortly after 10.30am on Monday, August 1.
“The person has been traced safely and passed into the care of medical staff.”
