A RECENTLY-refurbished play park in Glasgow has been damaged by vandals.
A pile of rubbish is believed to have been set on fire in the play area, near Finnart Street in Bridgeton, last night.
Fire crews were sent to the scene to extinguish the blaze at around 9.30pm.
A local charity hit out at the vandalism.

Bridgeton Community Learning Campus wrote on Facebook: "This is the play park next to the centre. This is the work of idiots who are hell-bent on destroying the neighbourhood.
"This is NOT acceptable in any area. This, after repair, restructure and new swings were bought with taxpayers' money.
"This is YOUR community. Police WILL be involved and WILL call on the parents."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 9.21pm on Wednesday, August 3, to reports of refuse on fire on Finnart Street, Glasgow.
"Operations control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
"There were no reported casualties."
