AN INVESTIGATION into a fire at a play park in Bridgeton is currently ongoing.
Fire crews attended the play area on Old Dalmarnock Road in the city's East End last week.
A blaze was extinguished at around 9.30pm on Wednesday night. Police had later been informed of the incident.
It is believed that youths deliberately set rubbish alight.
Following the fire, community representatives met up to speak about the issue of ongoing vandalism in the area.
We spoke to Lesley Ward, a local community centre manager, who revealed that staff have to lock the doors at night due to the behaviour of young people.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Officers will be carrying out extra patrols of the area and anyone who wishes to report a crime can do so by calling 101.”
