A TEENAGER caught with a knife before an Old Firm match told cops “I’m oot to damage a c**t”.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was stopped on Duke Street by officers on February 2, 2022.

Celtic won 3-0 against Rangers that night, with the match kicking off at Parkhead at 7.45pm.

Cops were out working as part of a pre-planned police operation in respect of the Old Firm fixture when they spotted the teen, who was 16 at the time.

They had reason to speak with him as a result of the operation, and he was searched.

Officers recovered a black lock-back knife with a four-inch blade.

“He’s certainly not had his troubles to seek in his background. Despite that, he’s in court with his father and mother.”
