Glasgow's most scammed postcode has been revealed after new data was published on which areas in the UK are targeted most by scam calls.
Calls by fraudsters, also known as Vishing, can trick unsuspecting people out of their hard-earned money in various ways.
The VoIP and business broadband experts at Bionic, have looked at Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and Action Fraud data to see which areas are targeted by scam calls the most.
They also analysed what kinds of scams the criminals posed the most as well as the estimated amount of money an average scam call costs each area.
Most common phone scam in Glasgow revealed
The most common phone scam in the Glasgow area was Accident Claims.
These type of calls make up 66 out of a total of 294 reported fraudster phone calls.
Glasgow is only one of three places in the UK with Accident Claims as the most common scam.
According to the study, the other two locations are Motherwell and Sunderland.
It also reported that the worst affected postcode for scam calls in Glasgow is G73.

Edinburgh was also named the fourth most common city in the UK for scam calls, receiving 408 total scams.
The ICO reported that 110 of these calls were from sham Broadband companies.
Only London, Reading and Southampton received more calls than the Scottish capital.
It's not all bad news though as the study revealed that Scotland reported the least vishing calls compared to the rest of the country and it also reported the second smallest economic loss.
The study estimated that the cost per phone scam call in Scotland is £119, compared to London's which was £317 per call.
