A MAN caught driving while under the influence of cannabis was banned from driving for three years.
Ryan Harris was caught by cops on June 30 last year on Stobhill Road after they smelled a strong aroma of the drug coming from his car.
They pulled over the 27-year-old's Volkswagon Golf at traffic lights shortly after 10am and he admitted he had smoked cannabis early that day.

His defence brief said Harris, from Priesthill, suffers from a "painful and to an extent disabling spinal condition for which traditional prescribed medication has offered no relief".
The lawyer said he self-medicates to deal with his pain issues in a habit that has developed over several years.
He added: "It is to his credit that he continues to run his own business."

Sheriff Jonathan Guy placed Harris on a community payback order and told him he must carry out 135 hours of unpaid work.
He was also banned from driving for three years.
