Schools in Glasgow will close next Monday for the public holiday for the Queen’s funeral.
Glasgow City Council said essential services will continue but all other services including schools and nurseries will close.
It was announced on Saturday that the day of the funeral would be a national public holiday.

The state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey in London attended by King Charles, the royal family and leaders and heads of state from around the world.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will be attending.
The council tweeted: “On Mon 19/09, a public holiday has been granted for a day of national mourning for the state funeral of HM The Queen.
“On this day we'll continue to provide essential services, keeping our city mobile, clean and safe. All other services including schools and nurseries will close.”
