Princess Anne has arrived in Glasgow this afternoon to meet with representatives of organisations of which the Queen was Patron.
Huge crowds gathered outside the City Chambers at George Square to catch a glimpse of the Princess Royal as she viewed flowers that had been laid in tribute to her late mother.
The Queen's only daughter was accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence.

They were met by the Lord Provost Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, in her capacity as Lord Lieutenant.
After taking the time to speak with members of the public, Princess Anne made her way into the City Chambers to meet with representatives from the Friends of Glasgow Cathedral; Glasgow Caledonian University; Royal British Legion of Scotland; YMCA; Royal Scottish Society of Arts; Royal Scottish Country Dance Society; Lambhill Stables, and RSNO.
She will also be introduced to the Leader of Glasgow City Council, Councillor Susan Aitken; Director of Finance, Martin Booth; Lord Dean, May Storrie, Second Citizen, and Deacon Convener Bruce Reidford ,Third Citizen.
