A PRISONER has died in custody.
Christopher McQuillan was convicted at Dumbarton Sheriff Court this year.
The 46-year-old passed away in HMP Greenock on September 9.
Police Scotland have been made aware.
A statement on the Scottish Prison Service website read: "Christopher McQuillan, 46, a prisoner at HMP Greenock died on September 9, 2022.
"Mr McQuillan was convicted at Dumbarton Sheriff Court in 2022.

"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
"A fatal accident inquiry will be held in due course.
