Anti-monarchy graffiti has appeared on a Rangers pub in Glasgow.
Staff at the Louden Tavern on Copland Road, a stone's throw from Ibrox stadium, shared images which appear to show the pub being tagged with two messages.
One reads "£8 million funeral while our country starves", while another says "F*** The King".
A wall on Broomloan Road, around half a mile from the pub, also appears to have been targeted with the phrases 'Lizzie's dead' and 'Lizzie in a box' emblazoned across the brickwork.
The team at the bar commented that they were 'sad' to have made the discovery at their venue.
They wrote: "The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium has a history of helping the local community without prejudice.
"We find it really sad that there are uneducated people walking our streets that would be involved in this unwarranted vandalism against our business."
They also shared a message of thanks to their loyal customers and supporters, adding: "Despite this we will continue to support local good causes.
"Let’s hope they’ve been daft enough not to wear masks.
"Thank you to everyone who continues to support us."
They also added that the graffiti would be cleaned by the council.
A Glasgow City Council spokesperson said: “This is plainly offensive graffiti and it will be removed as soon as possible.”
