A cafe owner will stand trial accused of employing a man who was unable to work in the UK.
Eduart Avdiasi, 34, allegedly had Grant Hasa on the payroll at Kothel in Glasgow's Broomhill between August 2020 and April 2021.
Court papers state Mr Hasa was subject to immigration control and had not been granted leave to enter or remain in the UK.
Avdiasi, of the city's Kelvindale, pleaded not guilty to the single charge contrary to the immigration, asylum and nationality act.
He was due to stand trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week but it was postponed.
Prosecutor Jennifer Sillars told a hearing: "It is a Crown motion to adjourn the date of trial.
"You will see it is an unusual charge to have in this court.
"The reason for the motion is there is documentary evidence that has not been lodged or identified.
"There could be evidential value in that."
Sheriff Brian Cameron adjourned the case until next month and continued Avdiasi's bail.
