The Great Scottish Run 2022 in Glasgow is happening this weekend and will see hundreds take part in country’s biggest 10k marathon.
Many people from all walks of life - including Scottish gold medalist Eilish McColgan - are taking part in the 10k and half marathons while many others are raising money for charitable causes.
Whether you are there for a good run or a cause you care deeply about, it is worth checking the weather before you embark.
When is the Great Scottish Run?
Two events are taking place over the course of Sunday and Saturday.
The junior and mini event will be taking place on Saturday October 1 while the 10k and half marathons will occur on Sunday October 2.

Saturday
The weather on Saturday for the junior and mini event will be cloudy with glimmers of sun throughout the day. However, there will be a small chance of precipitation, reaching 50% at around 10am.
The temperature will feel no higher than 9 degrees until around 1pm.
There will also be some noticeable winds of up to 31mph.
Sunday
On Sunday, when the 10k and half marathons take place, conditions will be cloudy but dry, with temperatures feeling no higher than 12 degrees.
There will be softer westerly winds of up to 25mph by 4pm.
When does the Great Scottish Run 2022 start?
The George Square information point will open at 8am. The assembly gate for the 10k opens at 8:30am and for the half marathon at 10:30am.

For the 10k, the wave start times are as following:
- Green wave – 9:36am
- Pink wave – 9:43am
- For the half marathon, the wave start times are as following:
- White wave – 10:50am
- Green wave – 11:01am
- Pink wave – 11:12am
