A man punched a stranger in the face after he was asked to move away.
Lewis Irvine, 26, approached Ross Madden on Glasgow's Jamaica Street at midnight on March 14, 2022.
Mr Madden, who had been on a night out in the city centre, asked Irvine to move away, but he was punched in the face.
Police were contacted and Irvine was traced at 12.30am.
He was taken to Helen Street police office and held in custody.
In a previous incident, on the morning of January 13, 2022, cops on patrol stopped Irvine and another man on Shettleston Road.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court last week, the prosecutor said: “The officers searched the accused. During this search, he pushed an officer’s hand away and began to run away from him.
“There was a short pursuit before officers lost sight of him.”
Irvine, of Shettleston, was found hiding under a caravan a short time later. He was searched but nothing was found.

He was charged with running away from officers in order to avoid them being able to seize items they saw in his possession.
Sheriff Mark McGuire said: “I notice his minimal record and that he’s in employment. Given the circumstances, I'm minded to impose supervision and unpaid work.”
The sheriff told Irvine: “I take it you don’t want to see the inside of a prison cell again?
“This order is a direct alternative to custody. If you so much put a toe out of line you’ll be back in custody.”
He was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and be under social work supervision for one year.
