A man who was caught driving 40mph over the speed limit in Glasgow’s East End has been disqualified.
Mateusz Scigala, 40, was clocked travelling at 70mph on Avenue End Road, which is a 30mph zone, on May 17, 2022.
He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing last week.
His lawyer said: “He is self-employed and in a position to pay a fine.”
Sheriff Allan McKay told Scigala: “Driving at 70mph in a 30mph zone is quite serious.”
He banned him from driving for one year and ordered him to pay a £400 fine.
